[DUO LE PIN TOYS] NO.515 Super Heroes - Spider-Man Homecoming

One of the MCU films that rocked 2017, is Spider-Man Homecoming. Though the first time I got to see it in theaters (went with my pevious work mangers and bosses), I fell asleep in the middle of the movie coz I'm too tired hahaha. But I watched it again like days after. Anyway, today, I am opening this..

I checked, LEGO did not released an original set similar to this. Fake brands really working their asses coming up with their own build designs, based on ripped official LEGO themes.

BRAND: DUO LE PIN TOYS
SERIES: SUPER HEROES

As a Marvel fan, who follows every movies, and has seen some tv series, cartoons, tv specials, and read some comic arcs, Im really fascinated with these LEGO (bootleg) set release, they always include stuff that didnt really appeared on the materials they based the sets on, like some of these Super Heroes's mobile vehicles.

BOX ART
Front and back shows Spidey in som street action, web slinging from his car-like mobile which is mod to look like a spider I guess.. also shows that this set can be combined with another set from the same series.. wait whuuut?

Who is that band-aid faced guy with what looks like a mecha with propellers that can combine with Spider-Man's vehicle? I literally dodnt know this set is a combiner too, like that Magneto one.. I didnt get the other set, and instead got the one with Vulture (review soon). Anyway, sides shows some more pics of Spider-Man and his strange vehicle build.

WHAT'S INSIDE
Right away, 2 bags of parts pieces slid down out of the box, followed by the instruction manual.. really liking it so far, looks like theres no alterations yet from the parts colors as shown on the box.

Heres the 2 bags opened.. and wtf is that white thorn vein piece doing in the package? Is that supposed to be the web sling piece Spider-Man appears to be holding on the box art? What the heck? Its not even included..

Here's the instruction manual, printed back to back. It really pisses me off seeing that even on the manual, Spidey is holding a differemt web piece. Fuck DLP!

MINI FIGURE
Moving on.. Here's the Spider-Man minifig included on this set. He is wearing a printed yellow torso (more info below), has no alternate face print coz he doesnt wear helmets and hats to cover it up.

Damn this again. His weapon.. So instead of that cool looking web sling shown on almost every part of the box and manual, Spider-Man instead came with this thorny vein crap..

It kinda works, looking like a spider whip.. remember in the movie, when he was trapped inside that factory storage, wearing the same yellow jacket above his spider suit, he was trying all the web-shooting technics that comes with his suit from stark.. maybe this is one of them. *sigh*

DESIGN ORIGIN
So Spider-Man minifig looks like he is wearing a yellow jacket on this set. It is based on that movie scene (which also in one of the promotional posters) in Spider-Man Homecoming, where he put on his high school brainiac team decathlon jacket out of boredom, while he was trapped inside that storage.

CONSTRUCTION
First, we separate the pieces by color.. oh fuck it, do I have to say it each and every time I get to this part of my review?

Im still somewhat pissed about that web crap weapon. So lets just build this god damn car and get over with this set already..

Putting on the tires and that flaming turbo effect at the back and we are good to zoom and go..

CREEPY CRAWLER CAR
Check it out, here it is.. Spider-Man's spider inspired car, which did not appeared in the movie at all.  Not bad, for a design released by a bootleg brand, huh?

OVER-ALL REVIEW
That web weapon is a major turn down for this set. I love the minifigure, it looks awesome and authentic, a total good catch to commemorate the MCU movie, and the car isnt that bad at all..

I'm not sure about those gold colored spider legs. Maybe if they made it red and blue, it would have work better?

The pieces are pretty tight, doesnt fall apart that easy. Sure does fit a kid aged between 6 and 12 as this series offers great game-play with that combiner element. Maybe I should get the other one to try that combiner.

Over-all, this set can fool a kid who just want to build and play with his (or her) bootleg LEGO, but as a collector who cannot afford the legit ones, you can't reallt trust what you see on the box coming out of it once its opened, coz its a fake brand after all.

FINAL SCORE: 6/10
I'm a legit Marvel fan, there's no such thing as bad Marvel shit for me, I enjoy every shit Marvel. Legit or fake products. But I think its just fair that I give it an almost fail score because that web piece is bull.

Be sure to check back to this blog, coz i also got Spider-Man's foe in the movie, Vulture!
