Kuto is with his friend, Covid.. you guessed where is name came from right. Kuto has suffer some careless keeping thru the time I wasnt able to look after my knock off LEGO collections, he has lost some pieces and some fading in colors happened. Good thing Covid was placed on a better box.

Covid will be assisting me in this blog and on my channel for the meantime. So say hello to my new mascot, Covid!! He came ifrom the same brand as Kuto, and he was also in an egg shell when i got him.

JULY 2020 HAUL

Of course, I wont have any content for my channel without new stuff to unbox, build, and put review here on my blog. So I went to Shopee a couple of days ago to place an order, and yesterday, my first orders came to mail.

Its like an ASMR kind of unboxing, no background music, just the noise in the background and the sound made by the package and its contents, when I unpacked it lol.

So here's what my first package contains:

The first one is a 8 in 1 set from SY or Sheng Yuan, Ninja (ripoff of Ninjago). They are minifigures of the 7 main characters, and 1 villain. They came with mini builts, and 2 of them has a mini dragon build.

As I stated before in one or some of my posts, my favorite LEGO themes were Chima and Marvel superheroes, however I think they already discontinued Chima, and so the knock-off companies stopped replicating them too, so now my new fave is the Ninjago theme.. because of the dragons and the characters too, Im actually binging the animated series on youtube these days to know more about it.

The second set is also a 8 in 1 collection from Sembo, which is also a company related to SY. Its a holiday themed set, featuring minifigures and builds with Christmas theme. One of the boxes doesnt even have a minifigure, but a reindeer and sleih build instead!! 

(I know its still July, bit when I saw this on Shopee, i cant help but get it since the seller where I also got the Ninja sets, only has 1 of this left on stock.. also its cheap, and it has awesome features.)

And lastly, a 4 pack set of bigger elemental dragons from Sembo's Ninja series. They came with 1 minifig and 1 dragon build each. I already own the white one, with questionable minifig character, and i even posted a review and building photos of it before.. 

I still have the white dragon and the minifig, but the dragon has lost some parts of it wings, so I made changes on it and gave it a littpe different look, so i will have 2 different dragons, but with same  features, making them look like a pair.

Please coninue supporting the blog even if it lacked updates for a long time, and also the new youtube channel. I will be making unboxing and building videos of the said sets above, as well as make review entries here too!!

Kuto will have to rest soon, but he will still make appearances with Covid in upcoming posts and videos Ive already been working on.

I also have few more stuff coming from other sellers online, so the blog and channel will be jammed packed for a while.. hopefully, if it finds success, forever.

END OF JULY 2018 HAUL :: Random Marvel Minifigures

Went out to see Ant-Man & the Wasp today (totally late) with special someone, who also got 5 different Marvel minifigures from Toy Art, same store where I got my some other stuff. They were totally randomly picked but theyre all Marvel.

Sold for 60PHP each, Im really getting a hang on getting just individual characters and not the whole sets.. they are also from different sets and brands so..

First 3 are from DLP Toys, DLP9077 Super Heroes set, Steve Rogers, Thor, and big fig Thanos, who I already had before but someone took it from my display case😧.

These chracters are new for Avengers Infinity War movie, with 8 figures to collect for the whole set, and comes with random pieces you can use to build a ship if you have them all. Will definitely try to get all.

The other 2 are SY258 Jean Grey a.k.a Phoenix, from an old Sheng Yuan Heroes Assemble set, and 34044 Loki from LELE Heroes Gathering Set.

Jean Grey is from an 8 minifigure set, mixture of Marve and DC characters, while thi variation of Loki is from another Infinity Wars set with 16 minifigures to collect. So 1 down, 15 more to go.

More figs to do reviews on. I'll still try to make a review about the figs I got from OBLO event, just need some time to do it LOL.

My first dragon build from the Ninja Theme, I got this white dragon which comes with a ninja mini figure with questionable identity.

(Such a bummer that I actually made a scheduled post for this review, to be released like 5 days ago.. but turns out, I wasn't connected to the internet when I finished the post so everything I wrote where completely gone, and blogspot didnt saved it on my drafts. have to rewrite everything since I didnt made back-ups. The photos was taken before I opened Kuto, so he won't be appearing on this review)

So this is one of my new item from my June haul, it's Magneto with his some kind of a Jet build. This one is part of a set series, where you get 2 of the right pairs and together they combine to form a bigger build. However, I only got this one for now.

I'm finally back to collecting and reviewing bootlegs and rip-offs of LEGO minifigures and sets.. well, I didnt actually stopped collecting, I just took a long rest from blogging. But thanks to some encouraging by my college friend, EJ, and from someone special who shows much support to my writing and blogging, but not much to toy collecting 😅😅 I'm all back.. hopefully. LOL

JUNE 2018 HAUL
I did had some bootlegs joining my collection while I'm away from blogging, and now that I decided to get back to doing reviews, I got some new (not really) items for my future posts!! Went to Ayala Fairview Terraces to get some minifigures and sets of different brands..

SONNY's TOY ART (finds)
One of my favorite hobby stores in Fairview Terraces, not only they sell cheap LEGO rip-offs, but their gallery of custom action figures and pop culture statues are to die for. In this store, I got...

Some loose Justice League and bootleg Ninjago minifigure boxes from LELE, DECOOL, and Duo Le Pin Toys. DLPT is my new fave brand. Also from DLPT are 2 sets of Super Heroes builds from Spider-Man Homecoming movie. Heroes Assemble's Magneto with Jet Fighter (I dont know wat its called, I dont read chinese) from Sheng Yuan (SY). And Ninja Thunder Swordsman also from SY.

I always wanted to get these Ninja boxes because of the simple build dragons included. I think here are 4 designs but I only got the white dragon, with white ninja, Cole. god, I hope it is him. because you'll never know with these fake brands, until you open the box, and all the letters on the box are in chinese. 😣

These ones, I was a little disappointed.. not because of the brand or the sets themselves.. but because their set builds can be combined with other builds from the same series, but I unfortunately just found out about it now, and I didnt picked the right partners.. 😢😢 more about it once I made the review entry for this blog!!

These are the minifigs. 2 different brands of Ninjago rip-offs, Wu and evil looking Nya. And I didnt gave a closer look before I bought them, but I just found out Wonder Woman and Aquaman comes with a mini-build karts!! 😂

And so does Master Wu!! So cool, he comes with a mini-build white dragon. wonder how it looks compared to Zane's.

METRO DEP. STORE (finds)

The toy section of this department store not only has real deal LEGO products and other authentic stuff in it, but they also sell low quality brands and bootlegs!! Talk about diversity, hahaha.

I however only bought 2 items from the toy section, because they are still pretty pricey compared to other stores, and I just know they are sold almost half the price by other sellers. I just didnt want to wsste my time visiting it so I got a Mixels replica stored in a plastic egg container, I think its called Wange Monsters, maybe, its brand is WANGE. And a Star Fighter mini build with an Astronaut minifigure from JUBILIX.

So excited to open them all!! I'll surely make a review for all of them, complete with unboxing photos. Infact.. I already started opening some. And first ones that will receive a review post...

DIY Diorama Simple build for SY170 CHIMA 3 - Outlands

Im very sorry for the very late update. Hahaha i was too busy being "not a child" for quite a while hahaha. so Ive been longing to make a diaroma for this set of Chima 3 from SY, similar to what I did for my Fantastic 4 Set.

So as you know, if you also collect minifugs from brands like SY ir Sheng Yuan, the figs comes with some parts that you can use to build small displays, like simple stands with weapon holders.. so lets get a little creative and use all the parts that are included in this 8 minifig sets to make a bigger display:

This is how it looks like with all the minifigs removed. All theother parts are loose due to age, so it had to be KRAGGLED.

If you own the same set, I highly recommend you give it a build now. Looks way more dramatic. You can also give it your own master builder do-over and just keep stacking the parts until you are satisfied with the finish. 😃

One thing I like about my toys, including these knock-off LEGO I collect, is that I can always snap a silly shot of them whenever I get free time :P and so I thought, since I don't get longer free times to make a review, maybe I can post some of the best bits I've taken, one at the time. [SY] NO. SY170 CHIMA 3 - OUTLANDS (Legend of Chima)

Welcome to the very first knock-off Legend of Chima review!! as we, people who loves bricks, all know, Legend of Chima is an original theme release by LEGO. they produced several sets and even a cartoon TV series to advertise this theme and it's a success. sadly, this theme is very expensive, like all the other releases from LEGO.

Sheng Yuan is one of the LEGO fakers who took advantage of Chima's appeal to the kids as well as the adult collectors. Right now, they have produced several sets from this theme, and the first knockoff set that I got is Chima 3, with 8 mini-figures in set:

Humanoid beasts.. in bulletproof plates.

 The characters in this set is pretty much based on "Into The Outlands" of the animated series, and the original "Outlands" series of the toy line, judging their appearance, and the characters that are included in this set. So, I think that us knockoff Legend of Chima collectors should call this set..

NO. SY170 CHIMA 3 - OUTLANDS

Each fig came with a small base plate, us usual with SY print in it *sigh*, a very dramatic weapon build, few parts that will hold the weapon when not in use (by the character), and several "Chi" in form of transparent blue crystal pieces. They also included trading cards which has "Ghima" printed at the back, instead of Chima. check out each characters:

LAVAL (Lion Tribe)

He is the main hero in Legends of Chima. He has gray armor, instead of the usual gold because this is what he wore in Outlands series, and has a jetpack attached at his back. His "helmet" head is removal to show that he has printed standard minifigure head, but it does not really matter, since the helmet one is what his head is actually supposed to be. he have his original sword, only it's color is black because it is black in Outlands series, and a gray shield. The print for his body looks nice, it made him look like a gladiator with his weapons on.

ERIS (Eagle Tribe)

She is one of Laval's loyal allies. She wears her gold Outlands armor, instead of the gray one, like the others. She also has a default weapon which is a spear with golden handle and silver blade. Her special weapon looks really familiar.. it looks like the magic staff of Cardcaptor Sakura!! lol. anyway, her staff resembles her eagle likeness, and has one wing piece. Eris, as an eagle, has a pair of wings attached at her armor's back. Nice body print, also. check out those feet claws!

CRAGGER (Crocodile Tribe)

Laval's bestfriend turned enemy, Cragger isn't really that evil but he is a hero, he was only controlled by his sister to do bad things. Cragger wears the same gray scheme like everyone, only he has light olive green for legs and arms, because that is his actual color. He has the exact weapon that the he have in the original LEGO set Scorn's Scorpion Stinger, which also has Laval in his Outlands outfit in it. 

GORZAN (Gorilla Tribe)

He is an ally to Laval and Eris. I am disappointed on his face prints, it's lime green instead of lighter cream or just white, it made him looks like he is part of the Spider Tribe. The weapon looks awesome though. It looks really fun, with those bananas in it. It is his same weapon in original release, Sparratus' Spider Stalker.

ROGON (Rhino Tribe)

He is Eris' boyfriend, can you believe that? an eagle and a rhino in a romantic relationship. Well, that does not matter to kids who'd best enjoy this toys like soldiers fighting each other, than play the romantic side. His full appearance is totally gray and silver. His weapon which has a huge horn-like on top is the same weapon he have in original releases: Spinlyn's Cavern, and his own set release, Rogon's Rock Flinger.

BLISTA (Bat Tribe)

Another winged character. He wears gray armor which holds the chi in front, similar to other characters. His wings are also attached in his arm or, the same way Eris wings are attached in her's. He has fury prints in his legs, which is kinda beasty looking for me, than humanoid. His weapon looks like a gun, with three green fangs in it, I haven't really seen this weapon in original releases. 

SCOLDER (Scorpion Tribe)

The Scorpion General. He has these great "okir" patterns all over is torso, really regal looking. In the cartoons, he has a tail/stinger, but in the original set  release from LEGO, he does not have it, but in the speedors release, he has it. But I think Scolder without his stinger looks fine. He has a default weapon, a staff, which I have seen before, but the other weapon is kinda new, it has a yellow fang on top, and looks like a laser gun.

SPARRATUS (Spider Tribe)

The Spider tribe wears grass skirts and has a very forest-tribal look. Sparratus is a low-level soldier of Spider Tribe. He does not came with a huge weapon, but he has this tribe-staff which fairly matches his color. He has spider web printed in his torso. The minifigure came with this large web piece, with a spider in it, maybe his pet, or little brother who has not drank the chi yet that is why it's not humanoid yet LOL.

THOUGHTS

Before my opinion about the whole set, here are some other pictures that I took, with and without weapons:

I think this set is really great, it has a perfect theme accuracy, because every minifigure is the same on their appearance in Outlands toys release, and in TV series. The trading cards are a little disappointment, because it did not followed the real names of the characters shown in the images, and their new given names are really hard to pronounce. Only one character card has used the original name, and it is Eris' card.

I found another brand which also released several Outlands-based Chima minifigures, and the Scolder has the stinger in it, so I might get that set soon, only for the stinger, because I heard that brand has really poor paint jobs. 

Overall, this set will pass for Kids' little satisfactions. They can play it like tribe wars, or something, they can get more copies of their favorite characters and use them like an army. I know some stores sell this toys separately or as a set. If they like Legends of Chima, but cannot afford the original sets, this knockoff will do, same characters looks and weapons as the original releases. I will surely get more Chima sets from Sheng Yuan.
