LEGO did released a set with the same Vulture build, its the van chase with Spider-Man.
BRAND: DUO LE PIN TOYS
SERIES: SUPER HEROES
I'm not that familiar of Vulture's history as an enemy to Spidey, all I know is that he is part of the Sinister Six, tthe brotherhood of Spider-Man villains.. I'm more familiar with GreenGoblin, Hobgoblin, Venom, Sandman, and Doc.Oc.
Box Art
The focus on the front is the entire wing build of Vulture, with the combiners mode it can do with Stark's Hulkbuster. Same at the back, with some features like the stud bluster also emphasized.
Sides shows the single Vulture minifig without the wings. Actually there are some other release of this guy with smaller wings.. maybe I should hunt it down too..
What's Inside
There are 2 bags of parts and pieces and a back-to-back printed instruction manual inside the box.
Lots of black and greens, and some gray here, perfect for Vulture's color scheme. and Kuto just went along with his wings on.
Here's the easy to follow instruction manual..
Mini Figure
Check out the torso print, he is sporting a cool jacket with faux fur details. He also only have one face print.. but it doesnt matter as his head will be covered with the helmet the whole time anyway.
His accessories are a piece of what looks like those alien parts they gathered from the aliens who attacked New York, and his helmet is just a plain cover up with mask print on it.. would have been better iff its like Iron-Man's helm with the mask can be fold up.
Design Origin
Obviously, the design of this mini figure is based on Vulture's character design from the Spider-Man Homecoming movie, following the MCU aesthetics of giving the characters a more realistic vibes on their looks with that leather jacket inplace of comic Vulture's over-all green suit.
Construction
Following my obsessive compulsive tradition of separating the partss via colors first, before the main construction..
Only one piece is printed but it doesnt matter. This wing build would still look cool, I'm calling it. Here comes the build..
And here it is.. looks terrific or what? Now lets get Vulture hooked up with this bad boy.
Connecting the Wings
Vulture comes with a single transparent neck piece that will make him connect the mech wings to his back.
so freaking awesome. I like the span of the wings, and the articulation of the single tips of it. It looks like it was designed to be displayed in flight mode, as Vulture's foot arent touching the ground with it attached on his back.
Over-All Review
I love it. The representation of the wings is on point as how it looked in the movies. And as a Spider-Man fan, I'm pretty satisfied on having this guy as the first Spidey villain to be reviewed in my blog.
Only issue to me is his silly hand accessory, what is it for exactly? Though I thought its not needed anyway. Also, I dont find the necessity of getting another Hulkbuster, just so I can combine it with the wings.. still thinking if I should let that one sit or not.
Final Score: 9/10
Gotta love this guy. I really hope Michael Keaton returns as Vulture on the sequels.. I like him better as a guy who actually flies even with mecha wings, instead of a dude calling himself the Batman but needs a jet to soar around.
